When I first saw the PRHT, I thought it would be at least 200 pounds heavier. However, Mazda is one of the most clever engineering companies in the world. I would not be surprised if the weight gain from the RF is marginal.

This is wow. Seriously, I’m not even an MX-5 evangelist - don’t get me wrong, I like them, but I’ve always been more of a hot hatch guy when it comes to cheap fun - but this is fantastic. Like, it’s basically the coupe-styled MX-5 people have been begging for, even with the retractable targa top.

The ND’s manual soft top is conveniently easy to reach back and pull up though. Not sure I’d want a powered top, even apart from the additional weight.

I wonder if the area behind the fake plastic glass will be finished paintwork so that you can just pop that piece off? No matter, it does look pretty good, but it won’t be on sale in time for my next purchase.
